Daily Math Center FREEBIE!

I created these daily math center signs to meet the needs of my classroom in the coming school year! (And no I'm not rushing you to prep for the new year, I go back in July!!)

I used terms and phrases that I have used in my classroom in the past for my math instruction such as Independent Math Practice. These signs are based on common Daily 5 Math components.

You can download them for FREE by clicking on the image or here. :)

AND, if you leave nice feedback and send me an e-mail telling me you did so I will send you something else for FREE! (This deal ends 6/21/2013)

Ten Pin Linky Party: Classroom Decor!

This evening I'm linking up with Ashley Reed over at Just Reed and sharing some of my classroom decor favorites from my Pinterest boards!

I'm a little late to this party because I just COULDN'T make up my mind about which pins were my faves, but I have decided. Enjoy!

In no particular order:

Check out the Awning!!!

The key to most of these pins is ORGANIZATION. I am organizationally challenged and could use all of the teachspiration that I can get!

Don't forget to Follow Me on Pinterest!

And go link up! I can't wait to see your favorite classroom decor pins!

(And yes if you were really counting there were only 8 pins but I am hosting Father's Day tomorrow and my guest bath is a MESS!!)

Super Sharp Scissor Update!

On Saturday, the girls and I revealed what was in our May Mystery Box! In the box were some highly recommended scissors.

Many of you wanted to know where these scissors came from! So I  did a little detective work and found out that they come from Staples

So there you go. Mystery solved.

Now, I can move onto bigger problems like why time goes by so fast when you are home all day in the summer and seems to never end when you are teaching social studies. :)

A Freebie that GLOWS!

If you are still in the trenches you might be interested in these little bag toppers!

You can click on any of the images or here to download in Google docs. I included grades K - 5.

The "Glowliters" and glow sticks both came from the Dollar Store. I spent a total of $18.00 plus tax. Super cheap for a class of 21 and they LOVED them.

FYI: For the bag toppers I used the fonts Follow You Into the World and Wish I Were Taller.

Meanwhile in June . . . . and GIVEAWAY WINNER!

I don't know about things in your neck of the woods, but the past two weeks have been a whirlwind for me!

I have one workday left and then I will officially be out of school!

I go back the first week of July so I'm going to make the most of the time I have with a Father's Day cookout, river rafting trip, camping  beach trip, and hotel beach trip. June is my favorite month of the year! :)

I am linking up with Farley tonight to share what I'm currently up to.

Since I included a shovel in my vacay essentials, I should probably explain that I use it to dig a moat around my chair to outlast the tide. :)

(And I just realized that I have two #2s but I'm one day away from summer vacay so I don't care!)

Now I'm off to try on the two bathing suits that I got from Forever 21 in the mail today . . . wish me luck!!!!

Meet the Teacher Chevron Style!

Meet the Teacher for my school was this past Thursday night. This is what we call the night when we meet our students and families for the coming school year.

Here are some great images of what this looked like in my classroom, thanks to my photographer, Hello Mrs. Sykes

I should have taken a shot of the entire room because I was SO pleased with how everything turned out. More than one parent commented on how organized everything was. For someone who is organizationally challenged, this felt SO good!

The forms and signs in this post are all available in my Meet the Teacher Chevron Style set at my store!

Even if you do not have Meet the Teacher at your school, this set would also work for Open House.

Comment on this post for a chance to win this set. I will pick one winner tomorrow morning (6/3/2012). :)

P.S. The font used for this product and for the captions in this post is called KG Be Still and Know.
