So not to keep beating a dead roach here, but many of you are already aware that I work in a year round school and I'm going back to school on July 9th!!!
There are a few things that I am SERIOUSLY stressed about:
1. Learning the New Common Core Curriculum.
2. Teaching the New Common Core Curriculum
3. Assessing the New Common Core Curriculum
4. Recording Student Progress with the New Common Core Curriculum
I could probably think of more things but this all leads up to the fact that we are switching to a new curriculum and that I will be teaching it in about 8 days and I am still pretty clueless. Okay, yes I have studied the math but Speaking and Listening is TOTALLY new for us here. Gargh.
So to channel this negative stress energy I have decided to do something POSITIVE. Every day until school starts I will be giving away something AMAZING! Well, maybe not amazing, but certainly cute and helpful! :)
Here is the first freebie:
Print them and attach to a brown paper bag and you are ready to go.
You may have seen this idea here, or here. This is my take on an age old idea.
I LOVE having the kiddos open these and share about themselves. For the past two years I have had them bring in just ONE thing and I have had them share it on the second day of school. This year I am having them bring FOUR things and will have them share during morning meeting for the first week of school.
