There were several post this week that I thoroughly enjoyed reading this week that I wanted to share with you.
1. The first one is from Farley @ Oh' Boy Fourth Grade with her post about how hunting and blogging are similar. You MUST read this. Today I am in stage 3. Sometimes I regress and I am in Stage 2, not that there is anything wrong with Stage 2 at all, but I have to move on from it for my sanity and ALL of the people that care about me. Read this post so that you understand. :)
2. The second one is a post that my pal, Jen @ Hello Mrs. Sykes wrote to explain how "Year-Round" schools work. I work at the same school with Jen and I have had several bloggers ask questions about this, so here is the explanation!
3. This one is craft related. I follow this amazing blogger, Kim @ A Girl and a Glue Gun.
If you craft then you should have heard of her. I love how she turned a
paint spill into an AWESOME pair of pants. Even if you are not crafty,
she is SUPER funny!
Ok, there were more but I'm trying not to waste spend ALL of my vacation time reading blogs, I mean, my kids go back July 9th!
Guided Math:
I also wanted to share that I will be a part of the Guided Math Book study that Brenda at Primary Inspired is hosting! I will be posting on July 19th about the last chapter of the book which talks about implementing Guided Math. Hopefully I will have taught using this model for about 3 weeks at that time. Be sure to keep up with all of the post for this awesome study. I have already read the book and I am not sure if I'll be able to wait until July 19th to share all that I have learned!! Be sure to go follow Brenda so that you can keep up, there are some awesome teachers participating.
Ohhh I am going to have to jump on this "Guided Math" train! How fun- lookin forward to it!

The Second Grade Superkids
I just found your blog from Allie's post about the Lovely Blog Award. Congrats!!! I'm your newest follower. I had already read Jen's post about year round school and thought it was very interesting. They tried it when I was in 3rd grade in Central Florida, but it didn't stick. I've actually never heard of Kim's blog though. Thanks for sharing!
